Yoga is an all encompassing way of life. Let us practice together.
Trained at the source
Saeja is a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, trained at and certified by Vinyasa Yogashala in Rishikesh, India.
She has been practicing yoga since 2011, with a background largely in Bikram and Vinyasa, and primarily teaches Vinyasa and Hatha.
Her teacher training took place near the sacred Ganga river in the foothills of the Himalayas, where she learned Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga — and their physical, spiritual and philosophical roots including the practices of Pranayama and Meditation. She learned from traditional Indian teachers in the practice’s original homeland. That experience rooted deeply in her and enriched her practice to a new level.
But her deeper yoga journey began much earlier.
A lifetime of learning the body
It matters to tell the whole story, because yoga is not only in the asanas we practice but in the lifestyle we live. Each of these was a formative thread.
-
From childhood
A household built around movement
Saeja grew up in a home where physical health and fitness was always a priority. Her parents worked out every day, and in her teenage years her mother became a mobility and strength focused fitness instructor — teaching her an excellent sense of proper form and alignment, and how to move the body through its full range of motion while keeping a sense of internal calm.
-
2006-2009
Kung fu
She began learning how to use her body, work with her breath, and harmonise and balance energies within the physical body. She achieved her black belt in MMA Kung Fu at eleven years old.
-
2011
Bikram, then Vinyasa
She began practising Bikram yoga with deep determination, and her yogic path began. After a few years she transitioned to Vinyasa. Alongside her own practice she participated in and witnessed her mother teach and plan classes in Clubbell yoga, Steel Mace Vinyasa and Tacfit.
-
2013
Aikido and vocal training
Aikido taught her to centre her energy, move with her body and breath, and flow around any obstacle in her path. Vocal training in the same year taught her to work with her breath in a deeper capacity, using her diaphragm and full lung capacity. Both fed directly into her asana practice — and taught her a great deal about meditation and pranayama.

2026
200-hour teacher training, Rishikesh
Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga studied with traditional teachers in the foothills of the Himalayas, alongside the philosophy and spiritual grounding the tradition carries.
How she teaches
Safe and stable fluid movement with the breath, and grounding practices that promote inner peace, stability, and a deeper awareness of self.
All of those years — the martial arts, the alignment work, the breath training, the study in India — shape what happens on the mat. The pace stays with the breath. The cues stay with the body where its at today. And the practice is treated as a spiritual one as much as a physical one.
- Vinyasa and Hatha, taught with careful attention to alignment
- Breathwork and pranayama woven throughout
- Grounding and meditation practices for the nervous system
- All levels welcome — including bodies carrying injury
Yoga is not only a physical practice but a spiritual one as well. Yoga is an all encompassing way of life. Let us practice together.Saeja Daye
